A Speech Pathologist is trained to assess and treat people who have difficulties with communication, literacy and/or swallowing.

Our Speech Pathologists provide services within a clinic, home or pre-school/school setting. Speech Pathologists can provide individual therapy, small group intervention, provide resources and information, as well as giving advice and direction to clients, their carers and other professionals.

Speech Pathologists diagnose and treat all forms of communication difficulties in addition to addressing swallowing difficulties. Speech Pathologists can help with the following issues:

  • Communication issues related to Autism
  • Language delays
  • Articulation (pronunciation)
  • Fluency (e.g. stuttering)
  • Voice problems
  • Alternate communication such as visual aids, or IPad apps
  • Reading and literacy (including Dyslexia and Dysgraphia assessments)
