The Better Access to Mental Health Care scheme was introduced to provide Medicare benefits for certain Allied Health mental health services including psychological therapy provided by eligible Clinical Psychologists and focused psychological strategies provided by eligible Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and Social Workers.

Medicare rebates are available for up to 10 individual allied health mental health services per calendar year in addition to 10 group psychological therapy services.

The services provided must be provided by an eligible clinician (please check with us or your provider regarding your clinician’s eligibility) and must incorporate Medicare approved psychological strategies. More information regarding eligibility and approved strategies can be found here
